Is it wrong to stop your children from seeing their father due to the new girlfriend?
After a broken relationship it can be difficult to get along with your ex’s new mate. This is an important thing to do in order to allow your child to be able to be a part of his/her father.
It is important to ask yourself, if you were dating someone new, if your child’s/children’s father has the right to take your child away from you due to your new mate. You must be willing to give his new life the respect you seek for your life.
Keeping your child away from his/her father solely due to his own girlfriend does not only hurt your ex but it will hurt your child/children as well. It is important to promote and support the relationship your children and their father’s new family in the same manner you would like your ex to support your decision to be with a new mate.
The only way reason you should ever be concerned with his new mate is if she is abusing your child. As long as she is good to your child and gives respect it is better for you to build a respectful relationship with her in order to be able to adequately co-parent with your ex. This is the best thing for your child.
It may be difficult for you in the beginning but once everyone is on the same page that the child comes first everything will only get better and your child will get to live a happy healthy life.
