Was your child’s father raised by a single mother?

Some men may have a hard time being in a relationship or even being a father. There can be many reasons for this. One major reason may be because he does not understand how to be a father due to not being raised with one. Some men who were raised by a single mother and never truly understood the importance and need for a father or father figure or even understand how to be one.

It may take time for him to truly see his actions and/or his lack of actions if he is not being the father figure your child/children need. It is not easy to be a father when you didn’t have one so it is important that you do your best to co-parent with him in a manner that understands him, his childhood, and the man he has become.

This just might be the thing that changes his life, your child’s life, and breaks the cycle of single parenthood. Keep in mind it is important to understand your ex and his experiences in the same manner that you would like to be understood.
